"Honey, I'm late."
"I don't remember driving home."
Oh crap.
I realized that I was dead
there's a spider on my keyboard.
The text read simply; 'run'.
I don't know why I ran
You dug him up. What next?
A dead man's in my classroom.

Green lights blazed into the bedroom
Wedged beneath that floorboard were lies.
What would emerge from the mist?...
"They came in the dark, watching...
The sweat made his eyes sting.
"Now what?" he asked
She touched me; I'm dying.
Glass shards were across the floor.
She couldn't bear to open it...
Good thing I had a plan B.

Sirens and blue lights. His car.
"You're safe now," he lied, soothingly.
Once upon a time I ...
"Don't move! It'll see you."

I hid in a closet. Frightened.
The guillotine blade hung there. Waiting.
Pulling back the drapes, she screamed.
Then, all the lights went out.
He hung himself. Except, he didn't.
Then she sat and waited, tense.
Her eyes, different this time. Darker.
This place, a tight, confining space.
Her answer was all I needed.
Choose your next word carefully.
And in the black black box....?
where am I
